Hola a todos!! 🙂

Como bien dice la canción ” Work hard, play hard”.
Trabajamos sin descanso la mayoría de los días, pero el día que cogemos libre…..lo disfrutamos al máximo!!
Afortunadamente en Ibiza, con el mar , da para mucha diversión, y tengo amigos que en la vida les ha ido bien y tiene la suerte de poder tener un barco, así que cuando mi agenda me lo permite, me voy a disfrutar un día al mar.

We usually work relentlessly most of the time, so when we have time off, we make the most of it.

Fortunately, in Ibiza the sea is the perfect way to have fun. I have friends who have done very well for themselves and are lucky enough to have a boat, so whenever I have some free time I love to go sailing for the day.

Tengo que deciros aunque quede muy arrogante, que este verano me superado con las motos acuáticas, me chifla estar a esa velocidad, este año he conseguido ponerme a 79 nudos, no esta mal eh?? Me hacía muchísima ilusión escribirlo!! No sé porqué! jajajajajaja!

Although this may seem very arrogant, I´ve become an expert at jet skiing. The rush I get from going so fast is great and I can go as fast as 79 knots, which isn´t bad. I just had to boost about that – I don´t know why. LOL

I had a great time today. Some of the people on the boat were having a business meeting, others were sunbathing and I spent the whole time on the jet ski.

Conversando con un amigo de mis amigos, resultó ser el manager director del Liverpool Football, como siempre yo hablando de música, me dijo que conocía a Gary Barlow del grupo Take That, y que era asiduo a los partidos del Liverpool y que quedaba invitada con un acompañante a algún partido en Liverpool. Os imagináis que coincidiera con Gary Barlow?? Que bueno sería, no le dejaría ver el football preguntándole cientos de cosas que me encantarían saber de Take That. Mejor que no coincidamos…..por su bien 😉

Llegó la noche y había quedado con Gus ( tremendo amigo, totalmente diferente a lo habitual ) y con mis mejores amigos David y Jordi. El plan de esta noche era Flower Power en Pacha Ibiza.

A friend of a friend is the Managing Director of Liverpool Footbal club was there and since I´m always talking about music, he told me that he knew Gary Barlow from Take That. (Gary is a fervent supporter of Liverpool FC and goes to many of the matches). He also invited me and a friend to go to a Liverpool match. Can you imagine if I bumped into Gary Barlow? I would´t let him watch the match in peace and would spend the whole time asking about Take That. It would probably be better for him if we didm´t meet . 😉

In the evening, my best friends David and Jordi and I had arranged to meet Gus (a great friend and totally different from the rest) to go to Flower Power at Pachá.

Su residente de siempre es Pipi, hermano de Ricardo Urgell, propietario de grupo Pacha.

No es una fiesta que a mí me fascine, es para ir una vez en el verano y ya está ( en mi opinión ) pero cierto es que es una de la fiestas mas típicas de la isla, y que cada noche está llena de celebridades, deportistas, actores……
Yo vivo al lado de Pacha y las colas que se forman para entrar son larguísimassssss!!

The resident DJ is Pipi, Ricardo Urgell´s brother. Ricardo is the owner of Pachá group. I´m not crazy about this party and once every summer is enough (in my opinion), but it´s definitely one of the most typical parties on the island, and is always full of celebrities, sportsmen and actors. I live next to Pachá and the queues to get in are very long.

Fuimos invitados por Carlos Martorell, era la Flower Power Vip, muy bien no entendí que quería decir, pero era como la Flower Power del verano no podíamos faltar!!

Carlos Martotell, Flower Power VIP, invited us. I wash´t quite sure what Flower Power VIP meant, but since it was the the most important Flower Power of 2013, we could´t miss it.

Nada más entrar, nos encontramos con Ochi de Pacha Franquicias, un terremoto. Los concierges más guapos de la isla Fátima y Román.
Maca de Música Moderna que conocía a mis amigos, y que nunca antes habíamos tenido la oportunidad de vernos , así que ya le pongo cara. Un encanto!
Fonsi Nieto que apareció con un sonriente HOLA!! también ví a Fred y Francisco míticos en la isla.

As soon as we got it, we saw Ochi from Pacha´s Franchise Operations – a real character! And the most beautiful concierges on the island: Fatima and Roman. Maca from Música Moderna had heard about me through mutual friends so it was great to meet her in person and put a face to the name. What a sweetheart!

Fonsi Nieto greeted me with a huge smile and I also saw Fred and Francisco at Pacha.

Esto nada más entrar, luego encontramos a Gus, y nos presentó al Príncipe Alfonso Hohenlohe ( hijo ). De nuevo otra sorpresa! Este señor a escrito 86 canciones, y las ha producido. Muy interesante la cultura musical que tenía.

I eventually saw Gus and he introduced us to Prince Alfonso Hohehlohe who has written and produced another 86 songs. He has amazing music culture!

Hoy os hablaré un poquito más de Solomun, Dj Alemán consagrado y más popularizado desde los dos últimos años. El pasado año tuvo un éxito rotundo con su residencia en Sunkeys Ibiza, de ahí que le llegara la posibilidad de este año pasar a una de las marcas más conocidas, y tener su residencia todos los domingos en Pacha Ibiza.

Today, I’m going to talk to you a Little more about Solumun, a German DJ who has been the talk of the music industry for the past few years. After a very successful residency in Sunkeys Ibiza last year, he was offered a Sunday night Residency in the world famous Pacha Ibiza this year.

Solomun ( Mladen Solomun, nacido en  Bosnia – Herzegovina ), creció en Hamburgo. DJ desde 2002, comenzó su carrera en producción en 2005. Con su compañero Adriano Trolio, creó su propio sello discográfico en 2006, Diynamic.

Solomun (Mladen Solomun, born in Bosnia- Herzegovina) but grew up in Hamburg. He’s been deejaying since 2002 and started producing in 2005. In 2006, along with Adriano Trolio, he created his own record label, Diynamic.

Su éxito, realmente surgió con su remezcla Around (Noir & Haze), elegido Remix del Año 2011 por Resident Advisor. 2012 fué un año tremendo para Solomun, premiado como DJ del Año por la revista Mixmag, Productor del Año por el DJ Awards en Ibiza, y también Mejor DJ Internacional en los Cool Awards en Brasil.

His remix Around, which was awarded the Resident Advisor’s Remix of the year 2011, was what catapulted him into success. 2012 was an amazing year where he scooped up Mixmag’s DJ of the Year, DJ Award’s Producer of the Year and Brazil’s Cool Awards Best International DJ.

El nombre de la sesión es original Soloumn + 1 , su compañero de residencia DJ Hell. Me mojaré un poco y con cariño diré que me gustaban más sus sesiones de Sunkeys, aunque también es cierto que falta mucho verano por delante y seguro que sorprenderá! , Dj Hell, no sigo mucho su filosofía musical, pero entiendo que tenga su público.

The name of the session is Original Solumn +1, along with his resident colleague DJ Hell. I personally would prefer his Sunkey sessions, but it is still early days to judge this seaon and I’m sure that he’ll surprise us. I don’t really subscribe to DJ Hell’s music philosophy but he certainly has a style that is liked.

Esta noche no pensaba salir, pero quedaban sólo dos días para que mi mejor amiga Silvita ( después de pasar un mes juntas en Ibiza ) tuviera que regresar a Barcelona, así que al final nos animamos para aprovechar hasta el último segundo juntas.  🙂

I wasn’t going to go out at all, but my best friend Silvita (with whom I’d spent a whole month in Ibiza) would be soon going back to Barcelona, so we decided to make the most of her last days in Ibiza. 🙂

Quedamos en Pacha Ibiza con el equipo Brasileño, Bruna, Nathalina, etc, mis loquitas de Ibiza, y con Joao Carlos aka King do Brasil, un personaje carismático y muy representativo en Brasil. Joao es muy amigo de Christian Audigier y tiene ediciones especiales sólo hechas para él por el diseñador de la firma Lord Baltimore, que suerte!

We meet up with the Brazilian team in Pacha: Bruna, Nathalina, my Ibiza Madhatters, Joao Carlos aka King of Brazil, a charismatic and well-known person in Brazil. Joao is a good friend of Christian Audigier, designer of Lord Baltimore. He is also fortunate enough to own several items of clothing that Christian designed especially for him.

Seguramente más adelante os hablaré de Joao Carlos (aka King do Brasil ) , porque puede que colaboremos en algún trabajo en Brasil  Él es un enamorado de Solomun, así que cogió la mejor mesa del vip de Pacha para que pudiéramos disfrutar de su set muy cerquita…..menudo capricho!

Lo pasamos muy bien y Solomun nos dedicó un ratito, tanta chica de cachondeo y un loco bailarín al lado de su cabina ( Joao Carlos ) ….. no podía ser de otra manera , jajajajajajajajaja!! 🙂

I’ll probably talk to you again about Joao Carlos (aka King of Brazil) because we’ll most likely work together on a project in Brazil  . He adores Solomun and booked the best VIP table in Pacha just to be close to the DJ Booth. He certainly believes in treating himself. 🙂

We had a great night and Solomun spent some time with us all: the fun-loving girls and the crazy dancer beside the booth. Only to be expected, of course.

Un detalle a decir: las bailarinas en esta fiesta van con un atuendo muy cómodo….deportivas! Me parece genial, y un alivio para las pobres que no paran de bailar en toda la semana!.

On a side note: the dancers are dressed in sportswear. I think it’s a great idea and gives them a rest from heels the rest of the week!.

Premios Vicious Music Awards 2012

El martes 11 de Diciembre, llegaba una gala muy esperada, la de los premios otorgados por la revista de Música Electrónica Vicious (VMA), la cual con tan solo 2 años de vida, se ha posicionado muy bien y desde aquí quiero felicitar a su director Alberto Velarde y a todo el equipo por el gran trabajo que desempeñan en nuestra industria.

La Gala era en los cines de la Plaza del Callao, algo novedoso, ya que otras galas solían ser en discotecas y el público en pie, lo cual le dio un asentamiento y aire de seriedad muy conseguido.

La convocatoria fue extraordinaria, la plaza del Callao estaba llena de curisosos y con un photocall digno de premios Goya, cientos de cámaras con miles de flashes, haciendo fotos a cada uno de la industria que pasábamos por allí…Impresionaba!

On Tuesday Dec. 11th, came a highly anticipated gala, the awards from the electronic music magazine  Vicious (VMA), which with only two years of life, has positioned itself very well and from here I want to congratulate its director Alberto Velarde and the whole team for the great work they do in our industry.

The awards ceremony was held at the cinema house at Callao Sq., a surprise and change from the usual, since most nightlife award ceremonies are always held at clubs and with a standing crowd, which gave the event a classy and serious touch.

The gathering was extraordinary, Callao Sq. was filled with curious pedestrians and with a photocall that seems to belong to the Goya Cinema awards, hundreds of cameras with thousand of flashes were taking pictures to each one of us that went pass through there, was very impressive!

Hasta el último momento, no estaba convencida de ir, ya que los artistas tambien tienen sus locuras, y este día uno de los míos patinaba, y quieras que no, eso afecta, al final mi equipo de Set Me Free, me convenció para que no me perdiera los Vicious Music Awards y fui con mi compañera Patti Hazel, ya que al fin y al cabo, es importante apoyar a nuestra Industria. Porque primero ilusionan mucho a los premiados, y ya sean de mi agencia y estilo musical, o sea de otro, me hace feliz que se reconozca el trabajo. Y segundo, como nos juntamos personas de la Industria de todos los rincones de España, siempre da alegria verlos.

Nada más entrar me encontré a Carol Velázquez (booker Sony) y Elena de Jetlag (Agencia Jetlag Bookings), Oscar de Almeria (Promotor), a los componentes de MG Group (Tone, Miguel, David), a los Modernos (DJ Nano, Fonsi Nieto, Javi Reina, Carlos y Aldy), Fran Arés (DJ), Aitor Gonzalez (Oart Studios, del sector del Marketing), Olivier Geynet (OMG Consulting, también de Marketing), y un largo etc.

I was not convinced to go until the last minute as artists have their follies and one of mine that day wasn’t having the best of days, and whether you want it or not it has an effect. Eventually  my team at Set Me Free Agency convinced me not to miss the ceremony of the Vicious Music Awards and I went with my colleague Patti Hazel, as at the end of the day it’s important to support our Industry. First of all, because the winners get really excited and happy, whether they are from my agency or my musical style, and because it makes me happy that good work is acknowledged. And second of all, getting to see friends and work colleagues from all over Spain, its always a blast to see them!

As soon as I got in I found Carol Velazquez (booker at Sony Music) and Elena from Jetlag (Jetlag Bookings Agency), Oscar from Almeria (promoter), the MG Group staff (Tone, miguel & David), the Musica Moderna team (DJ Nano, Fonsi Nieto, Javi Reina, Carlos & Aldy), Fran Arés (DJ), Aitor González (Oart Studios, from marketing), Olivier Geynet (OMG Consulting, also marketing), and a long etc…

Las tres rubias managers en España! 🙂

La gala empezó con una intro ESPECTACULAR, un aplauso para Light Project! Fue presentada por Soraya Arnelas (cantante) y Johann Wald (presentador de MTV), y apariciones de Lorena Castell (más conocida como Lorena C, de Crónicas Marcianas, y el debate de Gran Hermano). Hubo actuaciones de Odille Lima (la cantante del último tema de DJ Nano y del conocido «Leave a Light On») y Pakiteit (un chico con muchísimo talento que nos deleitó con una actuación de Beatbox imitando sonidos de música electrónica).

The ceremony started with an SPECTACULAR intro, a big applause for Light Project!. It was presented by Soraya Arnelas (Singer) and Johann Wald (MTV presenter), and supported by Lorena Castell (best known as Lorena C from Cronicas Marcianas and Big Brother debate). There were performances by Odille Lima (singer of DJ Nano’s last track and also of the reknown track “Leave a Light On”) and Pakiteit (a very talented boy that performed an incredible Beatbox set imitating electronic sounds)

Se entregaron 32 premios votados tanto por un jurado, como por voto público. Los más premiados fueron Uner (el cual es el que mas ilusión personal me hizo, porque no os podéis llegar a imaginar la de años, horas y esfuerzo que ha dedicado), Juan Arnau (Row 14, Florida 135 y Monegros) al cual hicieron un maravilloso homenaje en memoria de su padre durante la gala, Ushuaïa (Yann Pisennem, también trabajador incansable y al que conozco desde hace muchos años, el cariño es mutuo) y el gran Paco Osuna, un año inmejorable.

Juanjo Martin, un año más, fue premiado, esta vez con el Premio otorgado por Ron Barceló al mejor artista, lo cual nos enorgullece muchísimo y estamos deseando que llegue Febrero, para asistir al Festival de Desalia, organizado por esta gran marca! Este año con el cartel de Calvin Harris, Alesso, Juanjo Martin, Wally Lopez, Nalaya Brown y Luiggi Nieto. Lo vamos a pasar en grande!

32 prizes were awarded by a jury as well as by public vote. Most awarded on the night were Uner (who I got really excited about since he has been working hard for years and he really deserves this), Juan Arnau (Row 14, Florida 135 & Monegros) who got an incredible tribute to his father memory during the ceremony, Ushuaïa (Yann Pisennem, also a very hard worker and who I`ve known for many years, love is mutual) and the great Paco Osuna. An unbeatable year!

Juanjo Martin, one more year, was awarded, this time with the Awards given by Ron Barcelo to the best artist, which makes us really proud and we are looking forward for February to arrive so we can attend the Desalia Festival, organized by this great brand! This year will be performing  Calvin Harris, Alesso, Juanjo Martin, Wally Lopez, Nalaya Brown and Luiggi Nieto. We are going to have the best time!!

Teminada la Gala, me fui de cenita al VIPS de al lado, donde de nuevo nos encontramos a la mitad de asistentes de la Gala ;): Ana Tur, Francisco Pacha Ibiza, Tallyn Planells, Alfonso Palacios y Ali, Angel de EMI España, etc. (si hubiéramos hecho una reunión ahí, sale algo bueno seguro jejejejejeje).

Mi cenita fue con Carol Velazquez, Olivier Geynet , Aitor González y por último, Cesar Lores AR de Sony, grandes debates surgieron!!

Y de allí, a la fiesta que se organizaba después de los Premios Vicious, para celebrarlo con los premiados y con otros tantos! 😉

Después de la Gala, ya en la sala Florida Park, situado en pleno parque del Retiro de la capital española! Pincharon UNER, Chus (de Chus y Ceballos), Paul Ritch, Dosem, Paco Osuna y María Arias, unas risas con los compis de cenita, con mi amiga Sandrita que fue una alegria volver a verla, Oscar de Rivera (DJ), un jovencisimo DJ llamado Danny Avila, Victor de Ku Benidorm y Arantxa de Benito.

Once finished the ceremony i went to have a little pick me up to the VIPS next door, where again we found out that half of the attendees had had the same idea ;): Anna Tur, Francisco Pacha Ibiza, Tallyn Planells, Alfonso Palacios & Ali, Angel from EMI Spain, etc. If we had a meeting right there something really good would have come out of there jejejejejeje).

I had my dinner with Carol Velazquez, Olicier Geynet, Aitor Gonzalez and Cesar Lores (AR From Sony), we had great debates!!

And From there we went to celebrate with the winners and many others to the party which was held after the Awards at Florida Park, situated at the Retiro Park in the Spanish capital!

Djs were UNER, Chus (from Chus & Ceballos), Paul Ritch, Dosem, Paco Osuna and Maria Arias. We had loads of laughs and we were joined by mi great friend Sandrita, who was great to see again, Oscar de Rivera (DJ), a very young DJ called Danny Avila, Victor from KU Benidorm and Arantxa de Benito.
