Recién llegaba de México!! Bajé del avión….. y cuando pensaba que iba a cenar y a visitar a la mítica sala Gloobal de Sabadell, zas!! Kiko Rivera me dice que hemos quedado para cenar con Henry Mendez!!!! 🙂

Henry Mendez inició su carrera cantando hip hop y rap, a su llegada a España comenzó a fusionar los estilos latino con la electrónica, tan de moda en el continente europeo. Consiguió hacerse un hueco en el panorama musical español con canciones como ‘Veo Veo’ o ‘Pukutú’.

El lanzamiento de ‘Rayos de Sol’ en 2011 supuso un antes y un después en su carrera musical, ya que se convirtió en un éxito mediático, siendo Disco de Platino en España, número 1 en ventas, radios y redes sociales, canción del verano en varios países europeos como Francia, Alemania, Bélgica, Suiza…!!

El restaurante estaba escogido….se llama ‘La Cerdanya’ y en la primera mesa al entrar..SORPRESÓN!! El colaborador Luis Rollán y su pareja Alejo estaban allí. Luis Rollán hacia un monólogo buenísimo, en el que me hizo pasar una vergüenza terrible 😉 , ya que al dirigirme hacia mi mesa, mientras él desarrollaba el monólogo, no se le ocurre otra cosa que parar el monólogo y empezar a hablarme!! Me cachis!!!

We had dinner at ‘La Cerdanya’ Restaurant, when we entered the restaurant, and in the first table .. SURPRISE! The TV collaborator Luis Rollán and Alejo, his partner were there. Luis Rollán did a terrific monologue, in which Luis brought me through a terrible shame 😉 while he was developing monologue Luis stopped and started talking to me! OMG!

Después de la cena nos fuimos a Gloobal Sabadell, no os hacéis ni una pequeñita idea de lo que he llegado a bailar aquí!!! DIOS MIO!! 🙂

Kiko Rivera pinchaba, y no solo fue una noche extraña, si no que fué enriquecedora!!! Vinieron un grupo de amigos suyos que resultaron ser FONDO FLAMENCO.

Antonio Manuel Ríos, Rafael Ruda y Alejandro Astola más conocidos como el grupo musical ” Fondo Flamenco” son tres jóvenes sevillanos que han entrado con mucha fuerza en el terreno musical español.

El sonido único de este trío se refleja en cada una de sus canciones , la gran acogida por parte del público contribuye a que Fondo Flamenco se afiance en el panorama musical español, golpeando con fuerza en las listas de venta.

Pasamos una noche bomba, muy divertidos, muy alocados, muy suyos….. cada miembro del grupo tenía su especial locura!! Y estas fusiones me encantan, su estilo es completamente diferente de lo que Kiko Rivera pudiera pinchar esa noche ( que además pinchó durito porque así lo demandaba el público ) todos bailaron como locos, me encantó tenerlos allí con nosotros!! 🙂

We had an amazing night, so much fun ….. each group member had his particular madness! And I love these mergers, their style is completely different from what could Kiko Rivera DJing that night, and everyone danced like crazy, I loved to have them there with us! 🙂

Regresar al hotel fué fácil pero dominar a un grupo de 200 boyscouts!!! Una hilera de coches, jajajaajaj!

Una vez en el hotel , ya con desyauno en mano ( Y algunos con unos quintos de cerveza ), pude hablar con ellos. Tienen una filosofía muy particular de misionar la música. Antonio es un tipo totalmente genio a la hora de improvisar y componer en un momento, nos canto ahí unos versos, que me dejaron impresionada!!… Necesita poco para vivir, pero lo que hace , lo hace de corazón , aunque sea para regalar….. 🙂

Me sorprendió muchísimo, es de esas personas, que constantemente te hacen reír, hasta cuando se pone serio. 🙂

El resto del grupo, estaban algo mas tristes, se avecinan cambios…

Return to hotel was very easy, but to dominate a group of 200 boyscouts a row of cars! LOL 

Once in the hotel, at the breakfast time I finally could talk with them. They have very particular philosophy of making music. Antonio is a totally genius at the time to improvising and composing , he sang us some lines that left me impressed! … He just needs a bit to live on, but everything he does, he does at heart, although is to give away….. 🙂

I was very surprised, he is someone who constantly make you laugh, even when he gets serious. 🙂
The rest of the group were somewhat sadder, changes are coming …..

Qué pasada!!!

Nunca había estado en una gala en TV y menos de fin de año. Que curioso que se graba el 20 de Noviembre .La televisión es mágica, nos maneja los tiempos como quiere, y lógico, no se podía permitir ni un solo fallo durante una noche tan especial. 🙂

I´d never been to a TV gala event before and less so on New Year´s Eve. What´s even weirder is that it´s recorded on the 20th November. TV is magical, makes us believe what it wants us to and obviously this event had to be nothing short of perfect. 🙂

Ensayos del grupo de baile Dreamland y La Cubana.

Alguna anécdota, Paz Padilla dijo que nos íbamos a comer las 14 uvas, en vez de 12. 😀

Y algo que me sorprendió muchísimo, José Luis Moreno habla 13 idiomas!! y cada frase del guión de cada una de las personas que participaron, se lo sabía de memoria, le veía mover los labios al mismo tiempo que los actores y presentadores, y no cometía ni un fallo. Increíble!

What really surprised me was the fact that José Luis Moreno speaks 13 languages!! And he knew every line of the script and mouthed the words of the actors and presenters with absolute precision. Incredible!!

Los camerinos eran un ir y venir de personas de la música, compartir, opinar unos de otros, aconsejar, súper todo, y algo que me fascinó , Café Quijano, se cogió su estufilla en su camerino y no pararon de tocar y cantar durante todo el rato.

Esto tiene poco que ver con la música, pero como era una presentación de un producto hecho a base de plantas para los excesos de  comidas pesadas, copiosas, bebidas etc, tratado por Sonia, una profesional con la que me encantó compartir trabajo, he decidido publicarlo.
Miércoles 4 de Diciembre , a las 10 de la mañana estábamos Kiko Rivera y yo en la estación de Atocha, él procedente de Sevilla , yo de Ibiza. Ibamos a la presentación de un producto hecho a base de plantas para los excesos de comidas, bebidas etc que se suelen dar aún todavía más en estas fechas 😉 La presentación se hizo en “La Masía de Jose Luis”.

Hoy era el día, sí o sí!

Paris Hilton ha tenido este verano en Ibiza , en la discoteca Amnesia, los miércoles desde el 31 de Julio al 21 de Agosto su propia fiesta llamada ” Foam & Diamonds “.

Había estado invitada en varias ocasiones a verla en su session, pero el tiempo vuela en verano…..y esta era mi última oportunidad de conocer lo que hacía en su faceta como DJ ya que era el closing de su fiesta.

Estaban sumergidos en un stress entre finalizar las entrevistas de medios de comunicación, Fran Larrañaga, su estilista y director creativo dándole los últimos retoques, y en cabina preparándolo todo, pero aun así (aquí se nota como son las divas) tuvieron la simpatía de llamarme , entrar con ella al backstage y hablar unos segunditos e invitarme a quedar después de su set también! La noche parecía que iba a ser larga! 🙂

I turned up to Amnesia at 2.30 and her representative here, Harold, kindly met me at the door and we headed to the main room. It was mayhem there: the press interviews had just finished, her stylist Fran Larrañaga, her stylist and creative director was making the final touches on her but even so, they were kind enough to bring me backstage, introduce me to her and invite me back after her set as well. It was apparently going to be a long night. 😉

Salí a la pista y para mi sorpresa ví que antes de que Paris Hilton entrara en escena, Ruben Moran (mi saxofonista preferido) estaba calentando los motores de la pista!! Que tío, es un fenómeno!!

I went out to the dancefloor and to my surprise I saw Ruben Moran, my favourite saxophonist, getting the crowd excited before Paris Hilton came on to perform. He is absolutely amazing, that guy!

Sorpresa la mía…tal y como entró Paris Hilton a cabina, la gente se volvió loca!! La quieren y mucho!! Más allá de la sorpresa de verla en cabina actuando de lo mas fashion con su vestido fosforito, con sus zapatos Manolo Blahnik (modelo ‘ Sexo en New York’) y guantes Chanel…. me encontré a una Paris Hilton con tractor pero con una selección musical adecuada, con un set previsto para 1 hora y 15 minutos y que alargó a casi 1 hora y cuarenta y cinco minutos, y sin entrar en debates si sabe mezclar o no, si es una celebrity o lo que sea…. estaba entregadísima, no dejó de sonreír ni un instante, bailó, colaboró a tirar los miles de regalos que dieron…..no la ví ni un segundo parar a beber agua!!

 I was really surprised to see how the crowd responded when Paris Hilton stepped into the DJ Booth. They went crazy and totally love her. Not only was I amazed to see her perform in her bright dress, Manolo Blahnik shoes (Sex in the City model) and Chanel gloves, but also to hear Paris Hilton on Traktor with a very appropriate choice of music that played for 1.45 h (30 minutes longer than expected). I’m not going to judge if she can mix music, nor if she’s a celebrity, but she was totally committed to her crowd, smiled and danced the whole time and helped to give out the presents. She didn’t even stop to drink water!!

Otra cosa que me alegró ver, hablan de su pareja  River Viiperi, si muy guapo el chico…. pero con una gorra en la cabeza y una camiseta de algodón , no paró de trabajar y apoyar a Paris Hilton en todo momento.

Realmente lo que más me ha quedado marcado de esta noche, es que tengo admiración por las personas que creen en sí mismas y que luchan por aquello que desean hacer. Y creo que Paris es totalmente así.

 I was also very happy to see her partner River Viiperi (very good looking in his baseball cap and cotton t-shirt) by her side the whole time, giving her his full support.

I totally admire people who believe in themselves and fight for what they want to do. Paris is a great example of that and that came across very clearly as she performed.

Terminado su set , aun quedaba mas diversión, subimos al privado de Paris Hilton donde le esperaban muchos amigos como el hijo del diseñador Roberto Cavalli, Roman Fortunato Concierge de Ibiza, etc….y aquí si que se lió la marimorena!! Esta es de las mías!! Que hay que ponerse un vestidito y tener un look más serio, se hace…. que hay que meterse debajo de la espuma y gozar como una loca …también!! Que fenómena!! Se lo pasó en grande con todo el mundo y todo el mundo lo pasamos en grande con ella. 😀

The fun didn’t stop when her set finished. We went to her private area where friends such as Roberto Cavalli’s son, Roman Fortunato Concierge of Ibiza etc were waiting for her and that’s where the party really started. She’s the type of girl I like – totally versatile. She knows how to behave on every occasion – whether it’s dressing up and being serious or totally letting go and having fun at a foam party. She’s amazing. She really enjoyed herself with everyone and we had great fun with her. 😀

Como bien dice la canción ” Work hard, play hard”.
Trabajamos sin descanso la mayoría de los días, pero el día que cogemos libre…..lo disfrutamos al máximo!!
Afortunadamente en Ibiza, con el mar , da para mucha diversión, y tengo amigos que en la vida les ha ido bien y tiene la suerte de poder tener un barco, así que cuando mi agenda me lo permite, me voy a disfrutar un día al mar.

Fortunately, in Ibiza the sea is the perfect way to have fun. I have friends who have done very well for themselves and are lucky enough to have a boat, so whenever I have some free time I love to go sailing for the day.

Although this may seem very arrogant, I´ve become an expert at jet skiing. The rush I get from going so fast is great and I can go as fast as 79 knots, which isn´t bad. I just had to boost about that – I don´t know why. LOL

I had a great time today. Some of the people on the boat were having a business meeting, others were sunbathing and I spent the whole time on the jet ski.

Conversando con un amigo de mis amigos, resultó ser el manager director del Liverpool Football, como siempre yo hablando de música, me dijo que conocía a Gary Barlow del grupo Take That, y que era asiduo a los partidos del Liverpool y que quedaba invitada con un acompañante a algún partido en Liverpool. Os imagináis que coincidiera con Gary Barlow?? Que bueno sería, no le dejaría ver el football preguntándole cientos de cosas que me encantarían saber de Take That. Mejor que no coincidamos…..por su bien 😉

Llegó la noche y había quedado con Gus ( tremendo amigo, totalmente diferente a lo habitual ) y con mis mejores amigos David y Jordi. El plan de esta noche era Flower Power en Pacha Ibiza.

A friend of a friend is the Managing Director of Liverpool Footbal club was there and since I´m always talking about music, he told me that he knew Gary Barlow from Take That. (Gary is a fervent supporter of Liverpool FC and goes to many of the matches). He also invited me and a friend to go to a Liverpool match. Can you imagine if I bumped into Gary Barlow? I would´t let him watch the match in peace and would spend the whole time asking about Take That. It would probably be better for him if we didm´t meet . 😉

In the evening, my best friends David and Jordi and I had arranged to meet Gus (a great friend and totally different from the rest) to go to Flower Power at Pachá.

Su residente de siempre es Pipi, hermano de Ricardo Urgell, propietario de grupo Pacha.

No es una fiesta que a mí me fascine, es para ir una vez en el verano y ya está ( en mi opinión ) pero cierto es que es una de la fiestas mas típicas de la isla, y que cada noche está llena de celebridades, deportistas, actores……
Yo vivo al lado de Pacha y las colas que se forman para entrar son larguísimassssss!!

The resident DJ is Pipi, Ricardo Urgell´s brother. Ricardo is the owner of Pachá group. I´m not crazy about this party and once every summer is enough (in my opinion), but it´s definitely one of the most typical parties on the island, and is always full of celebrities, sportsmen and actors. I live next to Pachá and the queues to get in are very long.

As soon as we got it, we saw Ochi from Pacha´s Franchise Operations – a real character! And the most beautiful concierges on the island: Fatima and Roman. Maca from Música Moderna had heard about me through mutual friends so it was great to meet her in person and put a face to the name. What a sweetheart!

Fonsi Nieto greeted me with a huge smile and I also saw Fred and Francisco at Pacha.

Esto nada más entrar, luego encontramos a Gus, y nos presentó al Príncipe Alfonso Hohenlohe ( hijo ). De nuevo otra sorpresa! Este señor a escrito 86 canciones, y las ha producido. Muy interesante la cultura musical que tenía.

I eventually saw Gus and he introduced us to Prince Alfonso Hohehlohe who has written and produced another 86 songs. He has amazing music culture!

Mi día de hoy ha sido como casi todos, mucho trabajo desde tempranito por la mañana, tenía que dejarlo todo preparado ya que mañana me voy a London! El día transcurrió con mucho movimiento de llamadas, pero la última del día pareció mi recompensa! 😉 Mi amigo Yago Hermida de Gran Hermano me llamaba para que escogiera el modelo de gafas de sol que quisiera de Marc Jacobs, bieeennnn! My day was pretty much the same as all others a lot of work from early in the morning and I had to get everything ready because I am going to London tomorrow.  A lot of calls all day but the last one was the best. My friend Yago Hermida from Gran Hermano called asking me to choose whichever Marc Jacobs sunglasses I wanted. When I get them, I’ll show you some pics 😉

Estaba invitada a la fiesta de Ushuaia Ibiza de Departures, pero lamentablemente el trabajo no me permitió poder ir y de paso saludar a los warm up NO_ID con quien tuve el placer de trabajar el agosto pasado. También en cartel estaban Thomas Gold , Sebastian Ingrosso y Axwell.

I was invited to the Departures party at Ushuaia Ibiza but my work commitments prevented me from going to say hi to the warm up NO ID with whom I was honoured to work last August. Thomas Gold, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell were also there.

A última hora de la tarde me salió una cena-reunión de esas que me chiflan!! Angel Alonso de ex- EMI España y gran amigo ( de esas personitas maravillosas que te encuentras en el mundo de la música ) nos íbamos a cenar al Giardinetto, un italiano que está en Marina Botafoch, en el que nos encontramos a Labi un eterno RRPP de la isla, y a Kiko el ex-jugador del Atlético de Madrid.

In the early evening, I was invited to one of those working dinners that I love. Angel Alonso, former EMI Spain and a great friend ( one of those marvellous people you meet in the world of music) and I were going to have dinner in the Giardinetto, an Italian restaurant in Marina Botafoch along with Labi, a lifelong PR from Ibiza and Kiko, the former Atletico de Madrid football player.

En la cenita salió mucho L.A., ay ay ay…! Y por supuesto hablamos de los cambios y la absorción de EMI España por Warner y Parlophone.
Encantadísima con nuestro meeting!! 🙂

Ya estamos en la fiesta de Wally López en Lío!

Por la tarde Mayte, mujer de Wally López me invitó a ir a la fiesta de Wally  en Restaurante Club Cabaret Lío Ibiza, y en ese momento dije que no porque quería ir a dormir tempranito, pero después de la cenita nos pasamos un rato por Lío a saludar a la familia Factomanía. Por allí estaban Anna Tur de Ibiza Global Radio, Sebastian Gamboa DJ, Gutti,(ex-jugador del Real Madrid) y su esposa Romina entre otros y por supuesto Wally López y Mayte, quien aunque les pareció corta la visita, nos recibieron con una copita de champagne. Tengo que decir que el rato de sesión que estuve , fue perfecta, dedicada a un público de 30 para arriba y con unos bootlegs clavados.

Wally López’s wife, Mayte, invited me to go to Wally´s party in the Lio Ibiza Restaurant and Cabaret club. Initially I had declined her offer since I wanted to go to bed early, but after dinner we dropped by the Lio to say hi to the Factomania family. I saw Ana Tur from Ibiza Global Radio, Sebastian Gamboa, Gutti (former Real Madrid player) and his wife Romina. Of course Wally and Mayte were there and welcomed us with a glass of champagne, even if they wanted us to stay for longer. A perfect party, aimed at the over 30s with bootlegs.

Paty Eito is Back…!!

Quisiera decir……

No soy de las que se rinde fácilmente, cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles en la vida o en una misma, pongo un parche o una cicatriz y sigo adelante. No miro atrás.

De forma contraria cuando sé que me equivoco, necesito disculparme, y esta vez ……me he equivocado.

Empecé este blog por y para mi pasión con la música y si de alguna forma podía entretener a alguien o contagiar la magia de la música…..con eso era feliz.

En esta sociedad lamentablemente cuando algo no es lucrativo, no es interesante, como puede ser este blog. Y quizás de los que más esperaba fue de los que menos apoyo recibí. Trabajando soy, fría, contundente y calculadora, pero soy de equipo. Siempre en equipo! Y me dí cuenta una noche que estaba sola en esto, me giré y no estaban. Seguí escribiendo solo para mí, guardando las fotografías y los textos en un cajón..

Hoy he dicho basta, en esto me es imposible no mirar atrás !! Que cuatro personas no lo apoyen, no es suficiente para pararme! En que demonios estaba pensando??! Hay cantantes, deejays, discográficas, managers, personajes de tv, amigos, y lo más importante todos vosotros que me leéis . DISCULPAR si he fallado vuestra fidelidad y si he ignorado vuestros mensajes para que regresara. PROMETO QUE NO VOY A SENTIRME MÁS SOLA EN ESTO. Si un día decido dejarlo de nuevo…que sea porque yo quiero!

No hay nada que me haga más feliz que compartir con vosotros lo más bonito de mi vida….. en nada empiezan las publicaciones atrasadas!! Brit Awards, Winter Music Conference Miami, Erick Morillo, Departures ( Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso ), Robbie Williams en Wembley Estadio…. y mucho más!!

I don’t give up easily: when life gets tough, I find a solution and move on. I don’t look back. .

However, when I know I’ve made a mistake, I need to apologise. And with my blog, I made a mistake.

I started writing a blog basically because of my passion for music. Whether it meant entertaining someone or simply infecting others with this passion, that’s what made me happy.

 In today’s society, unfortunately, non profit-making activities, such as my blog, are of little interest. Perhaps those from whom I expected the most support were the ones who supported me least. In business, I’m cold, calculating and firm, but am also a great team-worker. Team-work is key to success. When I realized that I was alone in this initiative, I kept on writing but stored all my entries and photos in a drawer.

 I reached a turning point today and I have to look back to move on. Not having the support of a few key people is not enough to stop me. What was I thinking of? There are singers, DJ, record companies, managers, TV personalities, friends and most importantly all of you who read my blog. SORRY if my loyalty towards you faltered, apologies for ignoring your requests to keep writing. I PROMISE I WILL NO LONGER FEEL ALONE IN THIS. Should I stop writing again, it will be because I decide to, not because others want me to.

 There’s nothing that makes me happier than sharing my life with you…and I’ll be sharing all back-dated entries shortly. Brit Awards, Winter Music Conference Miami, Erick Morillo, Departures (Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso), Robbie Williams in Wembley Stadium, and a lot more.

Los chicos de la revista DjMAG España (Jose Luis García y Victor De La Serna) una semana antes, pidieron a Juanjo Martin qué asistiera a esta entrevista, la respuesta fue síííííííííí, cómo siempre un placer participar con los medios de comunicación españoles, y más cuando son un proyecto joven y nuevo.

I hope you like what you’re going to read!! It’s the interview we had on the 25th January with PlayNIGHT Tv, in Madrid’s very own Puerta del Sol.

The team from DjMAG Spain (Jose Luis Garcia and Victor de la Serna) had invited Juanjo Martin a week previous, and of course he agreed. It’s always an pleasure to join the Spanish media, especially on such a novel project.

Juanjo collected me at the Set Me Free Agency offices at 4pm and we went together.
