We certainly saw the new year in with style!

Me despertaba en Sevilla después de una fiesta de Gala, absolutamente fascinante con todo detalle ( hubieron leones, bailes de samba con grupo brasileño, flamenquito, música , cockteleros de lo más profesional, un catering riquísimo, y mucho más!! ). Me ponía en marcha de regreso a Ibiza, pasando antes por Barcelona a recoger mi mejor amiga Silvita y con el que coincidimos en vuelos el fenómeno a los platos JAMIE JONES, y a las 19hs aterrizábamos en Ibiza. Justo a tiempo para arreglarnos e ir corriendo a una fiesta en una Villa en Roca Llisa llamada ‘La Diosa’. Frank un amigo muy peculiar, un hombre que su tiempo libre lo dedica a cuidarnos a todos los amigos, y animarnos a disfrutar siempre de cosas que desde luego no estarían al alcance de mi mano.

On the 31st I woke up in Seville after an amazing gala event on the 30th ( there were lions, Brasilian samba dancers, flamenco, professional cocktail waiters, exquisite food and a lot more). I set off for Ibiza, stopping off in Barcelona to collect my best friend Silvita. We landed in Ibiza at 7pm and met Jamie Jones on the plane. We just had enough time to get dressed and head off to a party at a villa in Roca Llisa called “ the goddess”. The host, Frank, is a special friend who devotes his free time to his friends and ensures they enjoy every minute of the experience that would normally be far beyond their reach.

His mansion is spectacular and my contribution was bringing the grapes for the 25 guests (it’s tradition in Spain to eat 12 grapes when the clock strikes 12 as a sign of goodluck) 🙂

La cena fué hecha por Marco un chef del que había podido disfrutar el pasado verano en el barco y que hizo sin duda la cena más exquisita seguramente de toda la isla!!

Marco, a chef whose food I had already tasted on a boat in summer, was in charge of dinner and made what was probably the most exquisite meal on the island.

Muchos amigos reconocidos de la isla estaban invitados Martha Boul, Cucky Ouarrak Jaume, Lily, y un largo etc.

Por primera vez me comí todas la uvas!! Este año tiene que darme suerte, jejejejejejeje!! Después de la cena, a la cual también asistió a ponernos música el tour manager de Marco Carola ( qué manera de calentar motores!! ) se montó en el comedor una pista de baile, que fue buenísima!!

A las 3.30 am nos fuimos a Music ON, ya que el cartel era espectacular:

There were several famous people from the island there: Martha Boul, Cucky Ourrak, Jaume, Lily etc.
For the first time in my life, I ate my 12 grapes. I’m going to be lucky this year.
After dinner, where Marco Carola’s tour manager played ambience music, the dining room suddenly turned into a dancefloor! It was such fun.
At 3.30, we went to Music ON, since the line-up was amazing:

Amnesia a pleno!!

Como siempre Frank en Amnesia nos había preparado todas las atenciones y cuidados, no nos faltó un reservado donde estar y todo tipo de atenciones, GRACIAS FRANK!!.

Músico, no, lo siguiente, ahora entiendo todo, jejejejejejeje!!
Además era un no parar de ver amigos y personajes populares de la isla, Dennis, Gerard, Oscar Haro, Raul de las motos, Francisco Pacha, Hugo Pacha, Frederic Pacha, mi Brunita, y un largoooooooo etc.

Frank, from Amnesia, was true to style and took very good care of us. Thanks Frank!!.
The music was sublime – now I totally get it. LOL. I kept bumping into friend and people from the island: Dennis, Gerard, Oscar Haro, Raul, Francisco Pacha, Hugo Pacha, Frederic Pacha, my Brunita etc.

Bailé sin parar, hasta que mis pies no podían más, a las 8.30 de la mañana ( sí…. muy muy tarde ) fue cuando decidí dar por concluida mi bienvenida al 2014, que sin duda ha sido espectacular!!! No sé si escrito lo transmito, pero vivido….una de las mejores entradas de año que he tenido! 🙂

I danced non-stop until 8.30 am (yes, very late) and then decided to call it a night (or dayJ). What an amazing way to bring in the new year. I’m not sure if I conveyed what I experienced but it was probably the best New Year’s Eve I’ve had so far!! 🙂

Hoy era el día, sí o sí!

Paris Hilton ha tenido este verano en Ibiza , en la discoteca Amnesia, los miércoles desde el 31 de Julio al 21 de Agosto su propia fiesta llamada ” Foam & Diamonds “.

Había estado invitada en varias ocasiones a verla en su session, pero el tiempo vuela en verano…..y esta era mi última oportunidad de conocer lo que hacía en su faceta como DJ ya que era el closing de su fiesta.

 Without a doubt, this was the day.

 Paris Hilton has been having her own party “Foam & Diamonds” in Ibiza. From the 31st July to the 21st August she’s been playing every Wednesday at Amnesia

I’d been invited to see her on numerous occasions, but time just flies by in summer. Since her closing party was today, this would be my last opportunity to discover her new talent as a DJ.

He tenido la oportunidad de coincidir con ella en unas 4 o 5 ocasiones, y jolines…es una chica afortunada por ser heredera de Hilton! A todos nos gustaría vivir en una súper villa con asistente, maquilladora, peluquera, chofer, mayordomo (comodidades al alcance de muy pocos)… pero como siempre la he visto, es trabajando. Aprovecha muy bien su fama y lo mejor ….disfruta con ello!

I’ve met her on 4 or 5 occasions and she’s very fortunate as the heiress of the Hilton Empire. We would all love to live in a mega villa with maids, hairdressers, make-up artists, chauffer, butler (those luxuries that few of us have experienced) but every time I’ve seen her, she’s been at work. She makes the most of who she is, and has fun along with it.

Llegué a Amnesia a las 2.30 am y Harold, su respresentante aquí muy amablemente vino a recogerme a la puerta, y nos trasladamos al mainroom. Estaban sumergidos en un stress entre finalizar las entrevistas de medios de comunicación, Fran Larrañaga, su estilista y director creativo dándole los últimos retoques, y en cabina preparándolo todo, pero aun así (aquí se nota como son las divas) tuvieron la simpatía de llamarme , entrar con ella al backstage y hablar unos segunditos e invitarme a quedar después de su set también! La noche parecía que iba a ser larga! 🙂

I turned up to Amnesia at 2.30 and her representative here, Harold, kindly met me at the door and we headed to the main room. It was mayhem there: the press interviews had just finished, her stylist Fran Larrañaga, her stylist and creative director was making the final touches on her but even so, they were kind enough to bring me backstage, introduce me to her and invite me back after her set as well. It was apparently going to be a long night. 😉

Salí a la pista y para mi sorpresa ví que antes de que Paris Hilton entrara en escena, Ruben Moran (mi saxofonista preferido) estaba calentando los motores de la pista!! Que tío, es un fenómeno!!

I went out to the dancefloor and to my surprise I saw Ruben Moran, my favourite saxophonist, getting the crowd excited before Paris Hilton came on to perform. He is absolutely amazing, that guy!

Sorpresa la mía…tal y como entró Paris Hilton a cabina, la gente se volvió loca!! La quieren y mucho!! Más allá de la sorpresa de verla en cabina actuando de lo mas fashion con su vestido fosforito, con sus zapatos Manolo Blahnik (modelo ‘ Sexo en New York’) y guantes Chanel…. me encontré a una Paris Hilton con tractor pero con una selección musical adecuada, con un set previsto para 1 hora y 15 minutos y que alargó a casi 1 hora y cuarenta y cinco minutos, y sin entrar en debates si sabe mezclar o no, si es una celebrity o lo que sea…. estaba entregadísima, no dejó de sonreír ni un instante, bailó, colaboró a tirar los miles de regalos que dieron…..no la ví ni un segundo parar a beber agua!!

 I was really surprised to see how the crowd responded when Paris Hilton stepped into the DJ Booth. They went crazy and totally love her. Not only was I amazed to see her perform in her bright dress, Manolo Blahnik shoes (Sex in the City model) and Chanel gloves, but also to hear Paris Hilton on Traktor with a very appropriate choice of music that played for 1.45 h (30 minutes longer than expected). I’m not going to judge if she can mix music, nor if she’s a celebrity, but she was totally committed to her crowd, smiled and danced the whole time and helped to give out the presents. She didn’t even stop to drink water!!

Paris pinchando en Amnesia Ibiza!!

Otra cosa que me alegró ver, hablan de su pareja  River Viiperi, si muy guapo el chico…. pero con una gorra en la cabeza y una camiseta de algodón , no paró de trabajar y apoyar a Paris Hilton en todo momento.

Realmente lo que más me ha quedado marcado de esta noche, es que tengo admiración por las personas que creen en sí mismas y que luchan por aquello que desean hacer. Y creo que Paris es totalmente así.

 I was also very happy to see her partner River Viiperi (very good looking in his baseball cap and cotton t-shirt) by her side the whole time, giving her his full support.

I totally admire people who believe in themselves and fight for what they want to do. Paris is a great example of that and that came across very clearly as she performed.

Terminado su set , aun quedaba mas diversión, subimos al privado de Paris Hilton donde le esperaban muchos amigos como el hijo del diseñador Roberto Cavalli, Roman Fortunato Concierge de Ibiza, etc….y aquí si que se lió la marimorena!! Esta es de las mías!! Que hay que ponerse un vestidito y tener un look más serio, se hace…. que hay que meterse debajo de la espuma y gozar como una loca …también!! Que fenómena!! Se lo pasó en grande con todo el mundo y todo el mundo lo pasamos en grande con ella. 😀

The fun didn’t stop when her set finished. We went to her private area where friends such as Roberto Cavalli’s son, Roman Fortunato Concierge of Ibiza etc were waiting for her and that’s where the party really started. She’s the type of girl I like – totally versatile. She knows how to behave on every occasion – whether it’s dressing up and being serious or totally letting go and having fun at a foam party. She’s amazing. She really enjoyed herself with everyone and we had great fun with her. 😀

El sábado pude tener un ratito libre para escaparme a Cala Bassa a comer con Jason, la música chill-out que tienen ahí es de calidad. No tardó mucho y que tuve que regresar a casa ya que tenía en Marina d’Or una actuación con el Deejay MYNC y había que solucionar algunos problemas, pero al final todo fue sobre ruedas 😉 .

 I had some free time to have lunch with Jason in Cala Bassa in a restaurant with top quality chill-out music. We caught up quickly and I went back home to sort out some last minute issues with DJ MYNC in Marina d’Or. Fortunately, everthing went according to plan! 😉

My English family is here!!!

One of the places where I most feel at home and of which I have incredible memories is London. Almost all my London friends are here: Jason Kaye, my Steve Pitron, Celso, Bel, Jamie, Max, Henry etc. Just like we used to do, we all headed to Matinee in Amnesia. The Circuit party had just finished in Barcelona the week before, so it promised to be a great night!

Matinée Group significó y significa mucho para mí . Marcó aquellos maravillosos años.

Manolo Soria propietario de Matinée Group ( mi querido Papi Chulo , si me lee se estará riendo ), es una persona muy importante en mi vida, y laboralmente uno de mis maestros, siempre me ponía entre las cuerdas para que me superara.

 Matinee Group meant and means a lot for me.

Manolo Soria, owner of Matinee Group (my “Papi Chulo” – he’ll laugh if he reads this) has been an important person for me, both personally and professionally. He always challenged me to go that extra mile.

Empecé aprendiendo como servir una copa bien de camarera y terminé sabiendo como poner una sala en marcha de encargada donde habitualmente en esa compañía , la dirección reinaba por los hombres. Las primeras veces que trabaje en Ibiza en Space ( donde anteriormente tenían la fiesta )…. Los primeros after-hours que estuve…. durante mucho tiempo me sentí la princesa de Matinée aunque no lo fuera.

Fueron 6 años que nunca cambiaría por nada, y trabajé con personas con las cuales pasábamos ratos muy divertidos, mi Michel, Wilmar, Nane, Ivan, Sara ( aunque en aquellos entonces era una gruñona conmigo 😉 ), Ceci, Jordi Olmos, Gloria, Michel Malalts, Pollaque, Lucas, Luis, Gonzalo, Erik, Hamed, y una lista que no terminaría.

Desde entonces poquitas veces puedo ir a visitarles pero hoy era el día!! Y nos esperaron con los brazos abiertos!!

I started off serving drinks in a club and ended up as a club manager and the only female in a male dominated company. From the moment I started in Space Ibzia (where Matinee used top lay) to the first after-hours, I always felt as though I were the Matinee princess, even if it wasn’t true.

 6 years of my life that I wouldn’t change for the world, working alongside Michel, Wilmar, Nane, Ivan, Sara (who used to be grumpy with me way back then) Ceci, Jordi Olmos, Gloria, Michel Malatlas, Pollaque, Lucas, Luis, Gonzalo, Erik, Hamed, to name but a few.

 I don´t often get to see them so today was the day. We were welcomed with open arms and had a brilliant night. Special thanks to Taito Tikaro, Flavio, Jordi Olmos, Manolo Soria and Ceci. 😉

No paramos en toda la noche de ir de pista a pista, de entrar en la cabina, bailar, ir para arriba, para abajo, gente conocida, también por allí estaba Cristian Drak y Victor Pallars de WE Party, Ana Paula ( Deejay Brasileña) , la noche ardía y mis amigos de London disfrutaron muchísimo!

 We spent the whole night going from dancefloor to dancefloor, in the DJ Booth, dancing, talking to friends. I also bumped into Cristian Drak and Victor Pallars from the WE Party, Ana Paula (a Brazilian DJ). A great night which all my London friends enjoyed !
